Biography

Mr. Ira Duesler bestows GRN of Utica with over thirty years of multi-faceted in depth experience in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. Ira’s background covers the gamut in the industry from Quality Control to the implementation of Quality Systems. He has devoted the last fifteen years to the Medical Device Industry, its associated Quality Systems and Regulatory Affairs, assuming positions at all rungs from practiced Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, to Director RA/QA and Director of Corporate Regulatory Affairs. Expertise lies in Quality Systems implementation, Quality Engineering, and US and International Submissions in order to obtain Regulatory approvals for a wide variety of Medical Devices. Ira is trained as a Quality System Lead Auditor and served as Management Representative for over eight years, managing several successful Notified Body audits and FDA facility inspections.

Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS), and Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), Ira also serves on the AAMI Technical Committee for Quality Management and U.S. Technical Advisory Group (U.S TAG), developing the US position on International Standards ISO 13485, ISO/TR 14969, ISO/TR 16142, and ISO 14971.

In 2005, Ira was recognized by the Mohawk Valley Engineering Executive Council (MVEEC) and section ASQ for “Superior efforts in Quality Engineering.”
