Raymond May is the Founder and Managing Partner of Global Recruiters of Charlotte, NC.

Raymond focuses on placing outstanding attorney candidates within competitive and top law firms throughout the Mid Atlantic. He works at both the partner and associate level in various legal specialties.

Prior to starting GRN of Charlotte Raymond worked 20 years in the Capital Markets in New York and London. Most recently with ICAP America as Intellectual Property Officer, having written 25 patent applications, 3 have issued to date. At ICAP I also managed and developed electronic trading platforms in South America. In 1996 Raymond founded Blackbird Holdings and held the positions of CEO and CTO, raised $40mm and designed and developed the most advanced electronic trading system for derivatives. Prior to Blackbird Raymond spent 12 years at JP Morgan lastly as head Swap Trader, risk managing a trillion dollar portfolio of interest rate swaps. Before trading Raymond developed the new technology needed to grow the interest rate derivative business including the first implementation of Value @ Risk, mark to market accounting and credit risk management systems of derivatives.

Raymond received a BSc. in Physics from the University of Exeter, England and is a Chartered Accountant. Raymond is married to Suzanne; they have three children.
