Biography

Jim Degnan is the president and CEO of the Birmingham East office of Global Recruiters Network, a firm specializing in the recruiting and permanent placement of professional and executive talent.

Outside of the Permanent Placement industry, his career path of progressive responsibility exposed him to several functional areas in both high and low volume technical manufacturing. Bottom line impacts and effectiveness of results allowed Jim to hold leadership positions of Vice President and General Manager, Director of Operations, Commercial Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Materials and Logistics Manager with such companies as Westinghouse, ABB, Continental Electric and Southern Comfort Conversions. Other companies that have experienced the benefit of his expertise are Rolls-Royce ESI, Waukesha Electric, Onyx Industries, Spradling Originals and Tower House.

Jim graduated a scholar-athlete from State University of New York-Oneonta with a degree in Economics, where he also earned his teaching certification. He did MBA graduate work at the University of Georgia, is a graduate of the Wharton Executive Leadership Forum, Auburn University Lean Production Initiatives and the ABB Institute. He has been the recipient of numerous achievement awards, performance awards and recognitions throughout his career.
