Biography

Michael Rainey is the CEO & Managing Partner of GRN - Global Recruiters of Czech Republic s.r.o.

Based in Prague, Michael has 18 years of recruitment experience in the CEE region & leads GRN Czech towards becoming a market leader in representing and placing "top 20%" professionals.

Prior to GRN, Michael co-founded the recruitment group Personnel Select. Responsible for operations and office expansion, the Prague based Personnel Select became one of the leading recruitment groups in Central & Eastern Europe; later being acquired by Hudson Group (TMP World Wide) in 1996.

In 1997 Michael became the V.P. of European Operations for the communications group Orion Diversified Inc. Overseeing the expanision of it's European presence & business development. Orion was also very active in recruiting technology talent from CEE for both its clients & its own operations in the United States.

Michael lives in Prague, Czech Republic, where he has resided for 18 years. He is active in various community non-profits and is President of People to People International, Prague Chapter. As a Knight in the Order of Malta, he is also actively involved in humanitarian aid and assistance projects both locally in the Czech Republic & internationally
