Biography
In his role as President of Global Recruiters of Auburn Hills Steven Hurt insures the required levels of client satisfaction while overseeing the overall operation of the company.
As the Team Leader for the companys Vehicular Sector he manages our automotive, automotive supplier, commercial vehicle and commercial vehicle supplier practice. His clients include a wide range of North American and multinational manufactures of automobiles, commercial vehicles, original equipment components and aftermarket parts. His searches range from experienced Engineers, Sales Representatives and Buyers to Middle and Senior Management, including C-level executives, in Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and Finance.
Steves background includes assignments in Sales, Product Engineering and General Management positions at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Monroe Auto Equipment Company (now Tenneco Automotive), NHK, Calsonic, Freudenberg-NOK and Collins & Aikman. Responsibilities have ranged from $3 million sales territories to $250,000,000 international subsidiaries of global automotive suppliers. Functional responsibilities have ranged from responsibility for OEM Sales and Engineering to guiding High Performance/Racing product development and aftermarket distribution channel development to leading South America business turnaround efforts at two multi-billion dollar global automotive suppliers.
Steve earned his undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University and served in the United States Navy for four years before resigning his commission as a Lieutenant and earning his M.B.A.
Steve currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Auburn Hills Economic Development Corporation. He is a member of the Socieity of Automotive Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society of Plastics Engineers and is a Ford Certified Green Belt.
